Terms of use
By downloading or using Co-Drive you agree to these terms. We have tried to keep them plain. Nothing in them takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Last updated: 24 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms govern your use of the Co-Drive iOS app (called Yol Hocam in Turkish) and this website, provided by Ömer Doğan (“we”, “us”). The app is distributed through the Apple App Store; Apple’s standard licensed application end user licence agreement applies together with these terms, and these terms prevail if they conflict. How we use personal data is explained in our privacy policy. Contact: omerdogan0@gmail.com.
2. What Co-Drive is, and is not
Co-Drive is an independent study app that helps you prepare for driving theory and practical tests and for your first years of driving in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), the United States and Türkiye. Please note:
- Not affiliated with any government body. Co-Drive is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), the Department for Transport, any US state DMV, DPS, Secretary of State or other licensing agency, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), NHTSA, the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MEB), or any other government agency.
- Not official test questions. Our questions and explanations are written by us from the law and public sources. They are not DVSA revision questions or official DMV questions, and we do not guarantee that you will pass any test.
- Not a substitute for lessons or official materials. Co-Drive does not replace lessons with an approved driving instructor, a state-approved driver education course, or your state’s or country’s official handbook. Always check the official sources for your area.
- Rules change. We work to keep content current, but laws change and vary by state and region. The law and official guidance always take priority.
- General information only. Breakdown, crash and insurance guides are general information, not legal, medical or professional advice.
- No test bookings. The app never books, changes, swaps or monitors driving test appointments in any country. It only links to official booking sites.
3. Use it safely
Never use the app while driving. Review lessons and checklists while parked or as a passenger. Always obey traffic laws, signs and instructions from the police and officials.
4. Who can use Co-Drive
You must be at least 13 to use the app. If you are under 18, use it with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian.
5. Your account
The app creates an anonymous account for each device. You can sign in with your email and a one-time code to move your membership to another device. Keep your codes private. You can delete your account in the app at any time (delete my data).
6. Co-Drive + (paid features)
The core content is free and may show ads. Co-Drive + unlocks all lessons, rehearsals, unlimited questions and other extras, and removes ads. Current prices are shown on the purchase screen in your local currency (in the United States, prices may be shown before sales tax). We offer:
- Monthly membership (auto-renewing subscription): renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price and is charged to your Apple account unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel in iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. If the price rises, Apple will notify you in advance and ask for your consent where required.
- 3-month and 6-month passes (non-renewing): valid for the stated period from purchase and never renew. Buying another pass before one ends adds the new time on top.
- Lifetime (one-off purchase): one payment for access with no end date for as long as we offer the app, on your Apple account. “Lifetime” refers to the life of the app, not your lifetime or any period after the app is withdrawn. If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 60 days’ notice.
Apple takes payment and acts as the seller for these purchases. You can restore purchases on other devices with the same Apple account using “Restore purchases”. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves, but email omerdogan0@gmail.com if something went wrong and we will help. If Apple grants a refund, the related access ends.
Consumers in Great Britain: because digital content is supplied immediately after purchase with your agreement, the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 ends once supply begins. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected: digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and if it is not you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or price reduction.
7. Features available only in Türkiye
Course-centre promo codes and private lesson requests to independent instructors are available only in Türkiye and are governed by the Turkish terms of use and private lesson terms.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use the app or website unlawfully. In particular, do not copy, scrape, republish or sell our content in bulk; reverse-engineer the app, bypass security or unlock paid content without paying; disrupt the service; or use someone else’s account or codes.
9. Our content and the sources we use
The text, questions, explanations, illustrations, animations, software and brand in the app belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial learning. We build on public sources as follows:
- Great Britain: contains public sector information from The Highway Code, traffic sign guidance and GOV.UK practical test guidance published by the Department for Transport and DVSA, licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Traffic sign images © Crown copyright. This use does not imply any endorsement by DfT or DVSA.
- United States: sign designs and traffic control rules are based on the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), 11th Edition, and Standard Highway Signs, published by the Federal Highway Administration, which are in the public domain. We cite state statutes and handbook sections but do not reproduce state handbook text or images.
- Türkiye: exam topics published by MEB and Turkish traffic legislation are quoted with attribution for teaching and commentary. This does not imply MEB approval.
10. Changes to the service
We may change content and features to improve the app. We will not materially reduce what a paid membership includes during a period you have paid for; if we ever must, we will tell you in advance. We may suspend or end access if you seriously breach these terms; if we do so unfairly, your statutory rights to a refund for the unused part apply.
11. Our responsibility to you
We prepare the app with care but cannot promise it will always be error-free or available. We are not responsible for test results, for how you drive, or for decisions you make based on general information in the app, except where caused by our negligence or breach of these terms. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory consumer rights. In the United States, to the extent permitted by law, the app is otherwise provided “as is” and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Co-Drive + in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that it infringes a third party’s intellectual property. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Law and disputes
Please contact us first at omerdogan0@gmail.com; most problems can be fixed quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, but if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country or state where you live. Consumers in Great Britain may bring claims in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland, or wherever else they live in the United Kingdom. Consumers in the United States may bring claims in the courts of their state of residence, including small claims courts.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will announce material changes in the app or on this page at least 15 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.
